Catering Sales Manager

The Hilton Ocala is excited to add a Catering Sales Manager to the hotel team. Social & Civic Catering Markets / Wedding Specialist: Represents the hotel in internal / external catering sales activities. This position’s focus is on social and civic events, weddings, and on / off site parties to maximize catering revenues. Accountable for achieving established catering sales goals as outlined by the Director of Sales. Responsible for weekly activity reports showing progress towards budgeted catering revenue, room rental revenue and banquet beverage revenue. Establish client base of organizations, associations and commercial businesses through direct outside sales efforts to secure business for the hotel; conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains potential clients in accordance with company and property policies. Negotiates with client regarding food & beverage pricing, function space, room rates and hotel services; confirms in writing in a timely manner to the client and all affected hotel departments all group requirements via group sales contract or banquet event order. To consult and create compelling wedding packages to secure business. Work directly with partner wedding vendors to cross-market and solicit Hotel wedding revenues. Serves as member of Sales & Catering/Management Team, and works with other management to establish and implement hotel service standards to achieve maximum profitability and efficiency. Ensures that the bill presented to the client is correct and that payment is obtained (see payment policy and procedures). Supervises catering sales activities related to specific markets; assists client with menu selection and banquet arrangements through a thorough knowledge of hotel facilities, kitchen capabilities and menu options. Must update a Performance Agreement & Action Plan annually.
