Catering Sales Manager

Work Performed:
The Sales & Catering Manager will be tasked with the following duties and responsibilities:
· Solicit new and past sales and catering groups through prospecting.
· Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
· Respond to all sales inquiries, create detailed proposals, conduct site inspections, and execute contracts.
· Negotiate group guest room rates, meeting room rental, and food & beverage minimum.
· Complete, review, and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Coordinate the client's needs and activities to ensure customer's expectations are met, and the property operates efficiently.
· Communicate group details and changes to all hotel departments.
· Monitor guest room block and blocked event space.
· Greet and touch base with groups when in-house.
· Aspire to achieve sales goals, including rooms, banquets, and ADR budget
System Experience
Demand 360, SFA Web, Lightspeed, One Yield,
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of previous catering sales experience in external sales; experience in upscale hotel operations is preferred
- Ability to effectively write business correspondence and set up contracts and function sheets
- Ability to professionally present promotional materials to prospective customers, and to effectively communicate and coordinate with operations and outside vendors
- Ability to forecast estimated revenue for private dining and catering contracts
- Ability to communicate with guests and employees using a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information
- Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
