This position is part-time, flexible schedule! Schmidt’s Restaurant und Sausage Haus is looking for enthusiastic, high energy, host and carry out team members who enjoy a challenge. Full-time and part time hours available. Our family owned and operated business has over 130 years in the food service industry. General responsibilities – Job overview Catering Servers Packs and preps for caterings Setting up for events Maintain a neat, organized environment Assist with opening/closing tasks and side work as needed Greeting and interacting with customers Learn food and beverage menu Assist with payment handling if needed Additional responsibilities as requested by the management team Basic serving duties: pouring water, clearing plates, maintaining buffet Qualifications Experience helpful, but not required A drive for excellence and a desire to exceed guest expectations Ability to take direction and work in a team environment High standards of Cleanliness, hygiene, uniform presentation, and safety Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Ability to stand and work 8–10-hour shifts Ability to lift 40 pounds to chest height Organized, friendly, upbeat, energetic, positive, and outgoing Open availability for shifts Monday – Sunday including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays (we are closed Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving) Reliable transportation Why work for a Columbus legend?
