Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, is seeking experienced providers to perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Nevada. In this role, you will conduct interview-based assessments, including physical examinations such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, without providing treatment or prescriptions. The position offers the convenience to work from your own office location on a PRN basis, with opportunities in Pahrump, Gardnerville/Minden, and Ely. The schedule is customizable, including half-day or full-day shifts, enabling you to balance professional and personal commitments effectively. Required Skills: Current medical license valid in Nevada Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine fields Experience with Compensation & Pension or related assessments preferred Ability to perform interview-based exams with basic physical assessments Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a clinical setting Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with VA or government assessments Additional certifications relevant to veteran healthcare Familiarity with medical reporting and documentation requirements Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in General Medicine Proven track record conducting medical evaluations for compensation and pension purposes Other Requirements: Must own and operate a private office within specified geographic areas Willingness to perform exams on a PRN basis, with ongoing availability Ability to complete required training and exams promptly Local candidates preferred, with travel included in rates No reimbursement for certifications or portal training prior to start This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your medical expertise for a noble cause, enjoy competitive compensation, and benefit from a supportive team dedicated to your success.
