Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handling Technician to join our team. This role involves coordinating the unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils and performing sanitation duties in our tank farm areas. You will work on the rail line, where tankers deliver essential raw ingredients for sauce manufacturing operations. As part of your duties, you'll connect various piping systems to incoming tankers to safely and efficiently transfer materials into the plant.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the daily schedule for unloading and storing incoming ingredient oils.
Perform sanitation duties in tank farm areas following GMPs and SSOPs.
Work on the rail line to manage the transfer of raw ingredients and oils.
Connect piping systems to incoming tankers for material transfer.
Operate forklifts to assist with material movement and support transfer processes.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain strong attention to detail.
Work in a fast-paced and physically active environment.
Essential Skills
Mechanical experience with hand tools to manage hose fittings, valves, and transfer equipment.
Forklift experience (sit-down or stand-up).
Material handling and unloading skills.
General labor experience.
Mechanical aptitude.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with RF scanners.
Experience in packing and pallet jack operations.
Ability to climb on top of tankers, requiring work at heights of approximately 10-15 feet.

Work Environment
This role requires working outside in adverse temperatures, including extreme heat, cold, and humidity. You may be exposed to vibrations, chemicals, fumes, and food allergens, and are required to work in confined spaces and at heights exceeding 18 feet.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chambersburg, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $22.81/hr.
