Provide expert perioperative care within the Operating Room setting, focusing on comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and effective collaboration with the healthcare team. Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and document findings into the patient records accurately.
  • Develop, implement, and coordinate patient-centered care plans that address age-specific and developmental needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and provide patient/family education tailored to individual requirements.
  • Apply clinical skills aligned with established Policies and Procedures while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, including participation in in-services, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Serve as a preceptor and charge nurse when assigned, supporting team leadership and mentorship.
  • Promote cost-effective care by monitoring and managing resources efficiently.
  • Maintain effective communication to support teamwork and resolve conflicts.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license meeting eligibility requirements.
  • Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in operating room or related specialty areas.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adapt to unit and hospital changes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to professional standards and patient-centered care.
