An excellent opportunity is available for experienced retail pharmacists to support pharmacy operations in the greater Phoenix area. This per diem role is ideal for pharmacists seeking flexible work schedules while contributing to pharmacy teams during high-demand periods such as graduations, summer vacations, and holidays.

Pharmacies operate primarily Monday through Saturday, with hours generally from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and some locations extending to 8 p.m. The role requires readiness to cover call-outs, vacations, and spikes in prescription volume, averaging 100-125 prescriptions daily. Candidates working part-time with availability for 2-4 days per week will find this role a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dispense prescription medications accurately in a retail pharmacy setting
  • Provide immunizations and maintain immunization privileges
  • Use pharmacy software (QS1) efficiently for daily operations
  • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians; some smaller sites may be pharmacist-only and require autonomous operation
  • Participate in scheduled training to stay proficient in pharmacy protocols and system use

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a retail pharmacy setting; preference for pharmacists with 5+ years to maximize compensation
  • Valid pharmacist license with no restrictions
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Immunization certification required
  • Familiarity with QS1 pharmacy systems highly preferred
