Receptionist/Catering Assistant

Job Description
We have an immediate opening in our Milwaukee Office for a Receptionist/Catering Assistant. We are seeking an energetic professional to support our Milwaukee office with our reception and catering needs. The Receptionist/Catering Assistant will be responsible for providing back-up reception services and catering services for all client/internal meetings including coordinating catering services for other firm functions/events and assisting with the overall responsibilities of the Catering Department. This individual must be professional and polished with superior customer service skills. Must be an active listener with exceptional interpersonal skills. Must be well-organized and able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will join a supportive, hard-working team to deliver excellent client service.
As part of our team, some of the essential duties and responsibilities will include:
- Greet Clients and Guests
- Operate switchboard.
- Monitor and schedule conference room reservations.
- Coordinate client needs with the catering department.
- Meeting room set up.
- Anticipate needs of internal customers.
- Restock supplies in all conference rooms and kitchen areas.
- Shelve and inventory products and supplies. Prepare orders for same.
- Review and code invoices and process for accounting.
- Back-up support for the Catering area and their job duties.
- Assists Catering Coordinator with responding to catering requests.
- May place catering lunch order requests from various catering vendors.
- Ability to carry out simple food/beverage prep tasks.
- Prepare the conference rooms and Penthouse North/South for client/internal meetings and other firm functions.
- Assists Catering Coordinator with storing inventory products and supplies.
- May place orders for inventory products and supplies from various vendors.
- Ability to restock inventory products and supplies in all conference rooms, floor tavern areas and Penthouse North/South.
- Check daily all conference rooms, floor tavern areas and Penthouse North/South.
- Disinfect all surface areas and all coffee dispensers, load/unload dishwashers and rinse sink dishes before loading them into the dishwashers.
- Occasionally, set up meals for all client/internal meetings or other firm functions.
- Provide an exceptionally high level of client service.
A high School Diploma/GED is required.
One to three years' experience in the food service industry is a plus.
Other requirements include:
- Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on providing exemplary customer service
- Friendly, "can do" attitude
- Willing to be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team
- Good communication skills
- High standards of personal hygiene
Physical Demands and/or Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to frequently use a keyboard, calculator, and telephone. Frequent sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and occasionally stand, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift (20 lbs.), and an ability to adjust vision for close vision work.
