Scheduled for the 2026-2027 school year, this School Speech-Language Pathologist position allows you to work within a K-12 grade setting, addressing a wide range of speech and language needs across different age groups. As part of a supportive and collaborative school district community, you will evaluate and treat students, collaborate with educators and parents, and participate in individualized education programs. Your role will involve creating adaptable speech-language interventions tailored to meet individual student needs. Operating full-time during typical school hours, this position offers a fulfilling opportunity to work with diverse student populations in a welcoming city that hosts engaging public events and fosters a vibrant community atmosphere.AMN Healthcare is partnering with a well-respected school district in Thermal, California to hire a highly motivated and passionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract position. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide comprehensive speech and language services that support students’ academic and social development.

Responsibilities for this role include conducting assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students. The SLP will also develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with goals for students with speech and language needs. Throughout the course of the school year, they will provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings. They will monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. The SLP will also provide training and resources to teachers and staff on effective strategies to integrate speech therapy goals into the classroom environment.

Required Qualifications Speech/Language Pathologist, Clinical Fellowship School Experience:

New Grad Accepted,CF SLP - Clinical Fellowship Accepted SLP-CA

Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology (SLP) or Related Field Speech Therapist Clinical Fellows are Encouraged to Apply State License is Required to Start the Assignment

Preferred Qualifications Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Previous experience working in a School Setting, Early Childhood, or Pediatrics Strong Knowledge of Speech and Language Development, Assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators, parents, and community members. Maintain accurate and confidential student records in compliance with federal and state regulations
