Senior Mechanical Engineer - R&D

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team focused on the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of mechanical tooling and automation systems. This role blends hands-on engineering work with strategic leadership in cost reduction, design simplification, and standard product development. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support development of standard mechanical designs used in tooling and automation systems Implement cost reduction strategies and design simplification using engineering best practices (e.g., GD&T) Manage tooling design release and follow-up through build and implementation Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to support R&D initiatives Track project budgets and timelines, reporting key findings and recommendations to senior leadership Mentor and guide junior engineers (no direct reports) Communicate clearly and confidently with executive, director, and C-suite stakeholders Travel as needed to customer sites, trade shows, and international group locations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in fast-paced automation environments Proficiency with NX CAD software; FEA tools such as Ansys are a plus Strong understanding of GD&T and design for manufacturability Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and improve product standards Excellent communication, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration skills Excellent work environment and benefits awaits you!
