Opportunity: Registered Nurse - PCU Job Details: • Work 3x12 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Weekend rotation and holidays as needed • Self-assisted scheduling through Optilink for 6-week periods • Patient ratios of 1:4 with drips/bipap, otherwise 1:5 • Must have cardiac PCU experience and be comfortable with 1:5 ratios • Minimum 2 years of experience required, first time travelers accepted • Previous Charge RN experience preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIH preferred • EPIC charting system experience required • Must pass EKG exam during compliance (2 attempts allowed) • Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences • Subject to float to any campus if needed • Required skills include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, telemetry monitoring, pre/post cardiac catheterization care, PICC line management, cardiac and vasoactive drip management, procedural sedation, chest tube management, BiPAP/CPAP, and tracheostomy management • Focus on cardiac patients including congestive heart failure, acute coronary syndrome, arrhythmias, and post-cardiac catheterization care • Secondary focus on respiratory conditions such as COPD and pneumonia • Use of Rapid Response Teams preferred • Nurse Assistants available 24/7, RN secretary available 7 AM to 11 PM Facility: This healthcare organization operates a 30-bed Cardiac Medical Progressive Care department that provides comprehensive cardiac care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
