Assistant Baker

At Nothing Bundt Cakes, the Assistant Baker is at the heart of it all. Dedicated to perfecting the craft, you are able to support the Bakery because you see beauty in raw ingredients and strive for consistency when you make our guests favorite recipes. Youll make the cakes that make peoples days, so youll get to enjoy yours as well. The Baking Assistant will be responsible for multi-tasking and providing full support to the back of house. This includes washing dishes from the baking and frosting department as well as cleaning the bakery and receiving deliveries. This position will be rotating with the other team members between dishes, baking and packaging the cakes following strict proprietary recipes, NbC production methods, and food safety standards. The position will be 4-5 shifts per week (Monday-Friday) ranging from 30-40 hours depending on seasonal demand. Applicants must be 18 or older and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time. Prior kitchen experience is preferred.

Accountabilities/Duties:

• Follows NbC proprietary recipes and cake production methods with precision and achieves productivity goals.
• Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens, and other tools to bake cakes.
• Prepares raw ingredients and equipment for baking places cake pans into a hot oven and monitors the baking process.
• Assists with daily baking and production flow and processes
• Adheres to the proper packaging, labeling and storage of baked cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintains baking and refrigeration logs.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks workstation and assists team members to ensure all baking supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift.
• Complies with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene.
• Maintains a consistent work attendance and punctuality record.
• Rotates washing pans and baking dishes by hand.
• Mops and cleans bakery including walk ins and bathroom
• Unloads and puts away shipments

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
