Key Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code) for lathe operations. Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices. Utilize CAD/CAM software to generate complex tool paths and machine code. Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, tool lists, and manufacturing documentation. Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure accuracy, prevent collisions, and optimize cycle times. Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes. Interpret engineering blueprints, 3D models, and specifications for machining requirements. Recommended Qualifications 3-5 years of experience programming multi-axis CNC lathes. Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, Esprit). Expertise in G-code and M-code for manual program editing and optimization. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, including GD&T. Solid understanding of cutting tools, workholding, and machining principles for various materials. Experience with machine simulation and verification software for program validation. Bonus Qualifications Experience with multi-axis or mill-turn programming. Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling for fixture design or part modification. Familiarity with machine simulation software to optimize programs and prevent collisions. Knowledge of metrology and CMM inspection processes.
