Position SummaryJubilee Railroad Wilderness Lodge (formerly Railroad Park Resort) is seeking a skilled and personable Front Desk Associate to greet guests, take reservations, and help customers with the check in and check out process. This role will work primarily on weekends, with other shifts potentially available during the weekdays as well. The Front Desk Associate also assists guests and enhances their stay by providing information regarding resort services and activities and surrounding areas as needed. They may also work shifts at the Campground office/store. If you have a passion for customer service and work experience in the hospitality industry, we want you to join our team!This position offers an opportunity to join our hospitality and lodging team that is expanding and developing a 43-acre property, featuring historic caboose lodging, vintage cabins, a farm-to-table restaurant, scenic campground facilities, a year-round stream, a meadow for events, and connection to many hiking trails. Key Responsibilities:Responsibilities: Welcome guests, process check-ins/check-outs, and handle payments accuratelyProvide enthusiastic local area recommendations to guestsRespond promptly to guest inquiries and resolve issues professionally with attention to detail. Maintain cleanliness and organization of lobby and gift shop retail areasAssist guests during check in and check out, phone interaction, and face-to-face interactionAssist guests with questions, directions, event schedules, and other information regarding the resort to help create a magical experience for allStrong computer skills and knowledge is requiredMust feel comfortable handling money and possesses a high level of integrityAbility to reflect a professional image while maintaining guest privacyMust stay calm in highly stressful situations and be knowledgeable of emergency situationsWill be stationed both indoor at the Front Desk and outdoors as needed to provide assistance to guests.Handle a high volume of transactions, including the handling of many different forms of payment (cash, credit cards, gift cards, etc.) Support local projects and monitor any potential impacts on the guests and team experienceWork in a fast-paced environment and independently keeping up to date with changing product knowledge and policy and procedure changesLiaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy, and fully furnished to accommodate guests' needs Assists other Guest Services personnel with projects when neededPerform any related duties as requested by the management team Required:Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProblem-solving abilities in fast-paced hospitality settingsStrong computer skills (Google Workspace and ReNexus reservation systems)Positive, energetic attitude with genuine passion for customer serviceAttention to detail, especially with financial transactionsAbility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysValid driver's license and reliable personal vehicleAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditionsLegal authorization to work in the United StatesPreferred:Experience in hospitality, property management, or related fieldKnowledge of Northern California tourism and Mount Shasta regionBasic maintenance and troubleshooting skillsTraining in business or hospitality managementAdditional language skillsExperience with POS and Lodging booking systems (training provided)Background in events management or customer servicePay & BenefitsPay: $18.00/hour Job Type: Part-time/hourlySchedule: Must be available to work on the weekendsPaid sick leaveEmployee discounts on lodging, dining and retail itemsAccess to training and professional developmentHow to ApplyWe will accept/review applications on a rolling basisHiring process: On-site interview with management team Background check and references; Offer extensionWork begins ASAP in Dunsmuir, CAAbout the Jubilee Railroad Wilderness LodgeJubilee Railroad is a truly unique TripAdvisor "Certificate of Excellence" property located amidst the magical wilderness of Mount Shasta, in a densely-forested valley beside Castle Crags State Park.
