Line Service Technician

Provide ground support services to customers in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Fuel aircraft in accordance with specifications.
  • Tow and marshal aircraft.
  • Ensure aircraft are properly chocked, locked, and secured.
  • Assist passengers, pilots, and customers with baggage, plane side cars, and requests.
  • Assist pilots with aircraft pre and post flight service.
  • Top off fuel trucks and complete proper paperwork.
  • Operate ground support equipment.
  • Direct people, drivers, and flight crews on ramp area.
  • Perform full-service interior and exterior detailing of aircraft and vehicles according to specifications.
  • Sanitize aircraft cabins, including seats, carpets, windows, and lavatories.
  • Apply wax to aircraft and vehicle exteriors.
  • Maintain inventory.
  • Communicate arrival times, service updates, and completion status.
  • Maintain company vehicles and equipment.
  • Perform multiple duties as assigned during down time.

Essential Skills:

  • Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks including facility cleaning, vehicle washing, aircraft interior and exterior cleaning.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license; restricted licenses are not acceptable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to step up and down stairs, ladders, tugs, vehicles, and fuel trucks.
  • Ability to reach above shoulder level, including waving marshalling wands.
  • Ability to stoop below aircraft wing to chock.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Flexibility and willingness to perform other duties when Line Service is not required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with ground support equipment operation.

Work Environment:

The position is based at an FBO located at Gillespie Field. Employees will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, engaging directly with customers and aviation professionals. Dress code adheres to safety and professionalism standards.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Cajon, CA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
