Radiology Job Details

• Location: Charleston, WV (25301) – Explore downtown Charleston, beautiful parks, and a friendly healthcare environment
• Setting: Onsite, hospital-based Radiology Department
• Employment Type: Locum tenens (travel contract)
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $14,580 - $15,620 per week
• Start Date: ASAP
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks, with potential extension

Radiology Physician Qualifications

• Board Certification in Radiology (required)
• Active West Virginia medical license (required)
• DEA Registration (required)
• Clean malpractice history (required)
• Minimum 1 year of post-residency experience in diagnostic radiology
• Proficiency in infant barium enema (BE) exams

Radiology Physician Responsibilities

• Interpret and report on a high volume of diagnostic imaging studies (90-100 cases per 8-hour shift; 60-70 wRVUs)
• Utilize multiple imaging modalities: X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine
• Perform light interventional radiology procedures, including:
  • Biopsies (thyroid, lung, liver, renal; CT and ultrasound guided)
  • Drainages (paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess, chest tube, cysts)
  • Diagnostic lumbar punctures
  • Arthrograms and joint injections (knee, elbow, hip, ankle, shoulder)
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
