Responsibilities:

The Medical Assistant provides primary support to the provider by proactively anticipating the provider needs, preparing the patient for the visit using established patient preparation guidelines, maintaining efficient patient flow, and assisting the provider with treatments and procedures. Also provides support for clerical functions to include scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations. Performs activities to maintain a clean, stocked, safe, and well-organized patient care environment.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED Required

Prior Healthcare experience preferred

Successful completion of Presbyterian MA Advanced Skills Training within 12 months of hire

BLS required at time of hire (AHA, Red Cross or ASHI)
