Medical Assistant

Mississippi Sports Medicine is hiring a Medical Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the physician and nurse(s) in clinic. The chosen candidate will provide high-quality service to patients seen within the clinic.

Experience/Educational Requirements:

Education: Graduate of four-year high school or equivalent (GED), required

Certification/License: Medical Assistant certification or license preferred, but not required

Experience Requirements: One-year clinical experience required

Essential Functions:

  • Patient interviews
  • Record and return patient phone calls
  • Perform dressing changes and staple/suture removal
  • Records patient data in patient record
  • Schedule and pre-certify patient surgeries and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with patients
  • Other duties as required
