The role involves assisting in the delivery of patient care under the direct supervision of a RN. This includes performing personal care such as feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, moving and transporting patients, or changing linens. Collects and documents vital signs and other observations of patients. Principle responsibilities include performing personal care/interventions as assigned, observing, collecting and documenting health status data as assigned, contributing to an environment that is safe for patients, visitors and employees, and other duties as assigned. Required qualifications include being 18 years of age or meeting one of the following: high school diploma or GED, successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, completion of one semester of clinical rotations within an accredited nursing program, completion of the Allina Health Nursing Assistant Academy Program, or previous direct patient care experience. Must also meet one of the requirements for BLS certification. Physical demands include lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently. Pay range is $20.91 to $27.30 per hour. The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
