Oral Surgery Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant position in a Sunnyvale, California general office. They are looking for Monday - Friday 9-6. This position includes benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform hygiene clinical procedures, including oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing, sealants, fluoride, oral cancer screenings and x-rays
• Educate patients on the importance of oral hygiene, as well as instructions and demonstrations of effective oral hygiene methods
• Communicate with doctor where there are opportunities in patients for restorative and/or periodontal needs
• Obtain and review dental history and/or records from patient (review patient health history and care slips) and ensure health history is updated for all returning patients

Qualifications:

• Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program and a valid state license
