A retail pharmacist opportunity is now open in the vibrant San Tan Valley, AZ area for per diem work supporting multiple pharmacy locations. This role will focus on providing experienced pharmacist coverage for vacations, call-outs, and seasonal volume fluctuations during graduation and holiday periods. The position offers a chance to join a dynamic team being built to serve a variety of community pharmacies operated within a food-and-pharmacy environment.

Location: San Tan Valley, AZ (within commutable distance to greater Phoenix area)
Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Saturday, typically 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (some locations until 8:00 p.m.)
  • Flexible per diem shifts
  • Ideal for pharmacists seeking part-time work 2-4 days per week

Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional pharmaceutical care in a retail pharmacy setting with daily prescription volumes averaging 100-125
  • Collaborate with technician teams, with some sites staffed solely by pharmacists requiring independent workflow management
  • Complete initial and ongoing training to support pharmacy operations and compliance standards
  • Maintain compliance with immunization and BLS requirements
  • Utilize QS1 pharmacy system for dispensing and documentation

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Minimum 1-2 years retail pharmacy experience; 5+ years preferred to maximize compensation
  • Current pharmacist license in AZ with no restrictions
  • Immunization certification and valid BLS card
  • Experience with QS1 system strongly preferred
