Marina Pointe Healthcare & Subacute is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our rehab team. In this role, you will support high-quality physical therapy services across Skilled Nursing setting, helping residents regain function, independence, and confidence in daily life.

Position Summary:

Assists in planning, organizing, developing, delivering, and implementing Physical Therapy (PT) Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, and as may be directed by the supervising licensed Physical Therapist, Director of Rehabilitation, or Administrator.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in this state.
  • Must possess an Associate degree from an accredited program conferring the title of Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Outstanding communication (verbal and written) skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in all work-related situations
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask

Responsibilities:

  • Follows treatment interventions and programs for residents in accordance with resident plan of care and under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist or Rehab Director
  • Assists in developing and maintaining Physical Therapy standards
  • Observes and reports on resident's responses to treatments
  • Properly demonstrates the implementation of therapeutic interventions encouraging participation and reporting to supervising therapist on any changes in condition
  • Meets all physical requirements of the position (Pick up/put away equipment such as: weights, barbells, medicine balls, etc. transport patients to and from therapy areas, assists with all therapy activities as needed)
