Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Outpatient Rehab

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, hands-on care that helps patients recover strength, mobility, and independence. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient-centered therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain open communication with the care team, patients, and families
  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas, following all safety and cleanliness standards
  • Support with patient scheduling, documentation, and administrative tasks as needed
  • Follow all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards
  • Participate in continuing education and team in-services to stay current with clinical best practices
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (CAPTE)
  • Current and valid state license/certification to practice as a PTA
  • CPR certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Comfortable lifting and supporting patients and performing physical tasks throughout the shift

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in outpatient rehab or orthopedics
  • Knowledge of EMR systems and standard therapy equipment
  • Familiarity with productivity tracking and insurance documentation
