Registered Respiratory Therapist
role within the
Parma Medical Center

We currently offer an opportunity for a part time day/evening rotation, Registered Respiratory Therapist to support patients in our acute care hospital in Parma.

A Brief Overview
This Level 2/experienced therapist should demonstrate the mastery of most clinical skills and focuses on improving other skills where necessary. These skills include assessment skills, and the active assessment of respiratory therapies needed and procedures according to the respiratory protocols.
What You Will Do
Mechanical ventilation
Medicated aerosol delivery
Airway clearance therapy
Patient monitoring
Oxygen and humidity therapy
Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)
Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.

Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or
Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)
Licenses and Certifications
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred)
Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required)
American Association for Respiratory Care membership (Preferred)
NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)
Work Experience
3+ years RRT experience. (Required)
Position Details/Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of RRT experience is required.
Previous work in a hospital is preferred.
The position, which is for 16 hours per week, is for a day and evening rotation, which can vary between 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts. There will be flexibility in scheduling. Monday-Friday with rotating weekends and holidays is required.
