Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for a Substitute School Social Worker to provide short-term coverage at an elementary school serving approximately 550 students in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This assignment is expected to last through at least April 6th, with the possibility of extension based on district needs.

Responsibilities include delivering social-emotional and behavioral support to elementary students, participating in intervention teams, facilitating classroom lessons on social-emotional learning, providing small group instruction, and offering 1:1 student support as necessary. The role involves close collaboration with school counselors, psychologists, and administrative staff to foster student success and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree (BSW) or Masters Degree (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program
• Active licensure with the Minnesota Board of Social Work
• PELSB active licensure is required
• Experience working within school settings or with elementary-aged students is preferred

This position is based within a supportive school environment that includes a full-time principal, assistant principal, school counselor, and school psychologist. The substitute social worker will contribute as part of intervention and support teams to address student needs effectively.
