Deliver specialized nursing care in the operating room by applying comprehensive clinical skills within a hospital setting. Responsibilities:
- Provide competent nursing care adhering to professional and organizational standards in the operating room environment
- Assess patient readiness to learn and utilize appropriate education materials tailored to patient and family needs
- Evaluate patient outcomes and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to revise care plans as necessary
- Perform bedside point of care testing aligned with patient care plans
- Organize, prioritize, and implement individualized care for patients with complex conditions, ensuring safety and psychosocial support
- Participate in professional growth activities, unit goal setting, and performance improvement initiatives
- Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members, including discharge planning and advocacy support
- Stay informed on public policy and regulatory guidelines influencing healthcare delivery
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with proven Operating Room nursing experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills, especially in complex patient care situations
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
- Familiarity with healthcare standards, policies, and patient education practices
