Position Summary: Provide personal care services, assistance, support and supervision to residents, through RN delegation.

Essential Job Responsibilities

* Responsible for providing services to each resident according to the resident service plan. * Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, hygiene, and mobility. * Monitor health, safety and well-being of the residents. * Document information pertaining to changes in residents' functional status, personal needs, appointments, etc. * Maintain an accurate record of chargeable services and submit record to supervisor by the designated date each month. * Respond to resident emergencies; provide first-aid assistance and arrange for appropriate medical attention and/or follow up. * Launder residents' clothing, linen and towels; fold and return to residents. * Assist with minor housekeeping of residents' apartments. * Serve meals and bus tables during mealtimes as applicable. * Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs. * Encourage socialization among residents and promote activities, assisting with activities as requested. * Chaperone activities outside the facility when requested. * Maintain a safe, home-like, and pleasant environment for residents. * Practice safety in working around and with equipment, chemicals, tools, and utensils. * Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and personnel. * Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and in-services * Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

* At least one year experience as a CNA * Certified Nurse's Aide Certification * Basic First Aid Training * High school diploma or GED * Experience in working with older adults

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

* Promote teamwork in providing services to resident. * State and Federal Guidelines for Assisted Living * HIPAA requirements * Safe food handling procedures * Nursing standards of practice for older adults * Skills in nurturing, organization, and interest in working with older adults

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in senior living
