A School-Based Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support to students in an educational setting in Atwater, CA. This contract position focuses on helping children develop the skills necessary for academic success and daily functioning. The role involves working collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized treatment plans that address each students unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students motor, sensory, and cognitive abilities to identify areas requiring intervention
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions tailored to students goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student outcomes to adjust therapy plans as needed
  • Provide recommendations for classroom accommodations and adaptive equipment
  • Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings to contribute professional insights

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) credential required
  • Experience working with school-aged children in educational settings preferred

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy methods to suit diverse student needs
