Security Officer The Security Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all personnel and visitors at our facility in Metairie, LA. The Security Officer will also be responsible for responding to emergencies, providing assistance during incidents, and documenting any occurrences in a detailed manner. Valid security guard license or certification as required by state regulations. Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a security role or law enforcement. Certification in first aid and CPR. Familiarity with surveillance systems and access control technology. Responsibilities: Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security. Control access to the facility by checking identification and issuing visitor passes. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, providing assistance as needed. Document and report any suspicious activities or security breaches. Maintain communication with team members and law enforcement through radio and other communication devices. Skills: The required skills for this position, such as intermediate computer proficiency, will be utilized for monitoring security systems and maintaining incident reports.
