Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a fast-paced Telemetry unit, requiring Epic proficiency and cardiac drip experience.

Details

  • Work on a 46-bed Telemetry unit primarily serving observation patients in a hospital setting
  • Fast-paced, high-acuity unit with telemetry monitoring supported by monitor techs
  • Patient ratio of 1:4
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • Floating required to other Telemetry units
  • Charting via Epic (proficiency required)
  • Scrub colors: navy or white

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
  • ACLS preferred
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
  • On-site AHA rhythm test required
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
  • Epic EMR proficiency required
  • Experience with cardiac drips required — must have experience with at least 3 of the following 5: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin (note: titration is not required)
  • Experience with central lines required
  • IV insertion skills required
  • Experience with pacemakers required
  • Experience with insulin pumps required
  • Candidates must disclose specific cardiac drip experience for consideration

  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
  • All time-off requests must be submitted prior to the start of the assignment
