American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, cardiac drip experience, and a CA RN license. Details

Hospital telemetry unit setting with a resource pool/float pool structure Floats to all areas except L&D/Women's, ED, and Special Procedures Patient population includes high Medicare/geriatric patients with multiple comorbidities, with a strong focus on MS/Tele patients experiencing DM, COPD, cardiovascular disease, hepatic conditions, oncology, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, and vascular cases Patient ratios of 1:4-5 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Every other weekend required May be called off or placed on-call once per pay period; on-call requires a 60-minute callback Epic EMR — proficiency required Navy or white scrubs required Requirements

Active CA RN license required Active BLS certification required ACLS, PCCN, and ONS certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of telemetry RN experience required Must have at least 3 of the following 5 cardiac drip experiences: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitroglycerin Central line experience required IV start skills required Telemetry monitoring skills required Vascular and oncology experience preferred Experience in a teaching hospital with residents highly preferred Epic EMR proficiency required Must have a successful travel history with 0-1 prior cancellations — first-time travelers are not accepted (exception: 10+ years of experience in a teaching hospital with residents) Flu vaccine required; exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis 2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information

Provide telemetry nursing care to a complex, high-acuity patient population across multiple units Experience with sepsis and alcohol withdrawal protocols expected Teaching hospital environment with resident physicians All time-off requests must be disclosed at the time of application
